September Founders Drinks: Navigating the United States funding landscape
David is the CEO and founder of Gimmie. Prior to founding Gimmie
, David was the Director of Business Development for ChinaCache, a Chinese Content Delivery Network (CDN) for International markets and for global companies with media assets in China and Asia-Pacific. David also had extensive sponsorship experience in the film and entertainment industry
Gimmie makes loyalty fun by providing game and website publishers tools to create their own frequent flyer mile like program to reward top users. The company is now based in Singapore and working with a new set of local Investors. Previously, Gimmie managed to raise US$200,000 from lead investor Tandem, a mobile industry incubator in Silicon Valley.
Equipped with the experience, David will be sharing more about how Singapore startups should go about raising funds in the United States and why he is excited about the startup scene in Singapore. So if you are interested to know more about the funding landscape in the States, you should definitely join us at our Founders Drinks this month. This will also be a good time for e27 to meet and mingle with the community, and vice versa.
Other than the usual sharing session, there will be a group of Taiwanese startups visiting Singapore and looking to meet with the local community. Do keep an eye out for an updated post on the profiles of these Taiwanese startups who will be at Founders Drinks this month.
For those who wants to share about anything, there will be a 15 minutes open mic session after David’s sharing. Three minutes will be given to each attendees who want to share at our Founders drinks.
